My review is mainly about my instructor, Robert helped me to get my drivers licence from the first try, he taught me how to drive in a couple of months and I do drive perfectly now. If you get Robert to be your instructor, you win🫶🏻

As an expat in Utrecht, choosing Bruinsma for my practical driving lessons and exam was the worst decision I made. After just two sessions, they changed my instructor without informing me—only saying that my original instructor wasn’t available on Tuesdays and that we needed to reschedule. They never mentioned that I would be assigned a new instructor altogether. The worst part was how they handled booking my practical exam. Despite my repeated requests, they scheduled it six months later. When I failed my first attempt and had only three weeks left before my theory certificate expired, I discovered that other driving schools could have booked the exam much sooner. I ended up wasting my time, money, and energy—and now I have to retake and renew my theory exam as well.

I’ve got worst experience with these school. First of all I asked for automatic car they told me exam will be 3 month later then I would go for manual. And when instructor came to my place it was manual car. He called to bruinsma about that problem and they just said we weren’t talking about the automatic car. So I went for manual because awaiting time was already 8 month kinda not normal. On exam I got some issues with documents and nobody told me that I need to take it. Conclusion: I do not recommend this school at all. if you really want to learn how to drive take private school.

Really bad experience! Don’t go here! I decided to try this school because a friend of mine recommended it. She did lessons for a manual car, however I did for automatic. What I read is very contrasting opinions so it really depends on the instructor. My instructor nickname was “Eazy”. I had 2 lessons with him, each of 2 hours. I literally wasted 260 euros. He has little patience, he doesn’t explain a thing and makes you feel very insecure, shouting and complaining constantly about why you did what you did, when you are the student and you are there to learn. We were in the highway and I’m nervous and I did a mistake and he starts shouting that if I want to kills us, this is definitely not the way to teach and create trust. He invalidated my questions saying they are not helpful and he justifies himself saying he has teach to more than 100 students and he knows what he says. He recommended 20 lessons of 2 hours (40hours) for automatic car, considering I drove before. I understand you need this amount of hours or more if he doesn’t explain a thing and he is watching his phone all the time. During the class he even made me stop on a gas station to buy coffee. Terrible experience and do not recommend at all! I just had a test lesson with other school and the difference was insane, in terms of how to explain the basic rules, patient and basic lines of respect teacher-student.

I passed my exam after taking classes with my instructor Robert. He was calm while training me and thought me many important points in such a short time. I passed my exam with the second try. The communication with the driving school was easy and they were flexible with timing and scheduling.
