The placeholder text says "tell others about your experience" and I will do just that. Unfortunately, I can't give 0 stars. My experience was Ton was nothing short of a nightmare. First encounter during trial lesson and all looked good, positive and well structured. Then the first lesson - 2Hrs. Getting used to the car and following a book. Already had a pat on my hand while on the wheel for lane discipline - that felt weird. Second lesson - 2Hrs. Same location, no changes. Same routine. Ton also proceeds to using my information about my family and using it to taunt me for any mistake during the lesson. He proceeds to start saying why not go for automatic car lessons like other internationals -- what a weird thing to say. Then negative evaluation on the material at the end of the day. Third lesson - 2Hrs. New location. Shouts at me. While asking me to come to a halt which I do gradually. He says I needed to do that more firmly. And in a show-tell-me, he gets the wheel from me and slams on the break real hard that I was close to the wheel - thankfully I was wearing a seatbelt right. He then opens Marketplace App and starts to show me how many automatic cars are available and I should go for automatic lessons -- how nice right?. Then I complained at this point that I am not comfortable with him. I begin to highlight his behaviour and he defends himself with "English isn't his first language" -- what a shock. I had to tell him that I will like to park the car which I did and I took a walk to get some air. I eventually agreed to continue instead of hailing a cab back home as I intended to, and he promised me that the next class will be free as a form of compensation. Then he said he's completely booked the following week and that will mean my next lesson will be in two weeks. Haha! BTW, my lessons were on Fridays and he's always so so booked. After my third session, I sent a message on WhatsApp, 2 days later, saying I have now decided not to continue with him. He didn't act remorseful, and said "Yes, I was thinking the same.". And his actions that followed were even worrisome. He sent me a refund that was way below. I had to send him a message asking him for an invoice that details why I'm getting such an amount back. In the invoice, unlike the initial invoice, he refers to me as "mevrouw" - haha - how petty! Then I see "Administratiekosten" and when I asked where that is coming from, he quotes "This is stated in the general terms and conditions of the driving school, article 7.1". And I responded with I don't see any amount for such an item in the terms and conditions. And guess what? He never replied again till date PS: It's been about 6months now since my experience but decided to "tell others about your experience" as Google placeholder text said. EDIT: You see that he never changes. Now he puts my personal information about my family in the reply. I have taken screenshots and will see next steps.
