Passed with Zishan!! It was great joy to learn from him - he is very calm and patient. I would recommend to anyone needing an instructor. Both in English and Dutch

I had a very poor experience with this driving school due to one specific instructor. From the beginning it was clear that the instructor was not competent, but I stayed only because I needed to complete 15 lessons to be eligible for the exam. Unfortunately, after purchasing the package, the experience was far worse than expected. Main issues: - The instructor showed almost no engagement in teaching. There was no structure or lesson plan, most lessons consisted of aimless driving around the city with no clear objectives. - He spent the majority of the lesson on his phone (around 80%). He justified it as “multitasking.” - He was consistently late around 15 min. On one occasion he was late by 30 minutes, and another time he left for the toilet for about 30 minutes. Lost time was never fully compensated. - Many serious driving mistakes were ignored. For example, exceeding a 30 km/h speed limit or failing to check left and right at a junction often went uncorrected while he was looking at his phone. - Despite agreeing to focus on special manoeuvres, we practiced them only briefly and without any tracking of progress. There was no apparent interest in my development. - The car was in poor condition: broken rear parking sensors, unreliable wipers, worn indicators that sometimes activated full beam, and very bad suspension compared to modern cars. During a break over the January holidays, I took lessons with another instructor in this school, who immediately identified many mistakes and taught me motorway driving properly. The difference in teaching quality was significant. I wanted to switch instructors, but my exam was already scheduled and I did not want to delay it further. Continuing with the original instructor was a big mistake on my part, especially considering the high cost. Only 2–3 lessons before the exam, the instructor suddenly become more attentive, correcting basic techniques such as mirror and blind-spot checks. I was also repeatedly asking him to explain the car controls and under-the-bonnet questions. He showed me the buttons only 1–2 lessons before the exam, while stopped at an uncontrolled junction, and dismissed the bonnet questions by saying they “never ask this in the exam.” On the exam day, he showed me how to open the bonnet and I asked him to show me engine oil, coolant, etc. But what can I remember 30 min before the exam? The week before the exam, I took three lessons with another instructor from a different school. Again, the level was completely different. I learned important motorway skills and multi-lane turning techniques that were never taught at this school. Based on my experience with several instructors across different schools, this was by far the worst instructor I have encountered. I contacted the school owner and explained everything. Instead of addressing the issues, he immediately defended the instructor and claimed he had never heard such feedback before. He offered one free lesson, but the good instructor was fully booked, and the alternative instructor did not speak sufficient English. I declined, as one free lesson does not compensate for the wasted time and money. Even if I had passed the exam, I would still write this review, as this instructor contributed nothing to my preparation.

I had a really good experience with Duran. He was patient with me and helped with my driving anxiety. After doing 2 years with another instructor I finally passed after a couple of months. Would recommend!

What a ride! (Pun intended). Just passed my exam in my first try 💪🏻 Had driving lessons with Michael, and I have already recommended him to my friends. Very nice experience, professional service and always on the point. If I’d turn back time, I’d redo the lessons again with Michael.

5 STARS! My whole experience with Rijschool Baas was great from start to finish, and the main reason for that was my instructor Jeroen. He really knows his stuff and taught me so well that I was able to pass my exam on the first try. Not only is he an excellent instructor with a ton of experience, but he made the process very easy and enjoyable too. I appreciated his transparency and tips, which motivated me to do better every time. He was also very funny which made the time fly by very fast. Besides that, I really liked the app of Rijschool Baas which was ideal to book lessons and track progress. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to get their drivers license in Amsterdam!
