I was with 2 different schools and had to stop because of so many issues e.g. with the English of the instructor, the payments, the scheduling, etc. I was about to give up on my license but gave Ross Driving School a chance. I am glad I did, since because of them I got my license in 2 months with only 1 attempt! I did drive already in my home country, but on the first lesson already Ross showed me so many bad habits I need to eliminate, particularly relying too much on other road users to cater for me on the road. Ross was stern and direct, but not mocking or letting you down. His English was also native level, allowing you to discuss with him complex topics and make it easier to resolve your doubts; this was a huge issue for me with many other schools where they claim to speak English but it turns out it's broken and it's hard to maintain a conversation. Ross even brings hot wheels to simulate parking, traffic flow etc. which really helps me with all the issues I have. He even also teaches me things that are not directly about passing the exam e.g. car maintenance, tips on buying/leasing once you got your license, showing that he cares for his students and not just about making them pass the exam. He is also adaptable; he adapts to the student's personality e.g. introvert or extrovert, and adjusts his teaching style tailored to the student. He presents a clear plan on what each lesson will be about, making it easy for me to prepare beforehand. Contrary to many other schools, this school is very flexible with money matters and payment, making it much easier for me to trust them. Before the exam, I also took lessons from Arwin and in general have the same positive experience as with Ross. Regarding exam scheduling, I was also able to get scheduled for my exam within 2 weeks, which was impossible to get with other schools; they would keep saying I need to wait 3 months because it is busy etc. Niermila even offerred me out of the blue an exam spot in a few days, since my original exam was too early in the morning, so that i can focus better! This again shows that they really care for their students, beyond just getting them to pass. I really highly recommend this rijschool, especially for expats who look for English instructors.
