I will never get tired of saying this, Anke is undoubtedly the best driving instructor in the region! My case was very particular, I spent almost 5 years in another driving school, spent thousands and thousands of euros and no success. Anke taught me so much, in just a month a half I was able to learn and improve more than I ever did in 5 years. Anke’s tips and techniques along with the intensive course in the race track with Pieter really shaped me to be the driver I am now: I will certainly not forget you!! My overall expericne was fine. Of course it was not convenient that the lesson started from the central station not from my house as the other driving school do. But on the other side during my way I prepared myself for the lesson and was concentrated on it. What was great is that first you have a training day on the special driving premises with other students and see their mistakes and understand that you may do the same and try to correct them. Another great thing is that lessons are longer, more tailored to the date of exam and Anke is very flexible with the timetable.

*1*. What’s your best driving test advice/tip for fellow expats? My best driving test advice would be, have lot of patience, that’s very important and listen to Anke or your driving instructor, follow them completely. Forgot your old driving rules and learn from scratch. *2*. Can you point out the major differences between driving in the Dutch style and driving back in your homeland? I am from India. The major difference iis there it is left side drive and here it is right side driving. And priority rules in Netherlands. *3*. What are some of the funniest disparities you've noticed between the two nations? Maybe even the differences in the driving tests? Or a funny difference in traffic rules... In Netherlands, Just follow the rules blindly. In India it’s different, we drive by mutual understanding. *4*. Last but certainly not least: How was your overall experience, and what benefits did you find in the Arrive & Drive expat program? Overall experience was great and I have also had classes with other driving instructors in Netherlands but when compare to them Lesdirect is much better overall. Importantly booking exam dates as soon as possible.

This review is specially for my fellow (Indian) expats who are looking to obtain dutch licence much faster than the regular courses in the Randstad. I really liked the course contents and the training provided by Anke and her colleagues. Although, ultimately it boils down to your own capacity to unlearn your old way of driving and adapt to the Dutch method. I have been driving in India for over a decade and I would classify myself a typical indian driver (the kind that finds the gap that doesn't exist) and I needed extra classes on top of the regular package to clear my practical exam. I have learn the rules and regulations about traffic. I have learn how to handle acar in a safety manner. Also the road a big different from my country the Gambia. And the last how to drive in a zone for safety against other cars on intersection and pedestrian crossing, childrens and etc. So Arrived and Drive is the best place to be if you want to go for you Dutch drivers license.
