Awful school! I have been driving an automatic car for many years in another country but couldn’t exchange my driving licence in the Netherlands and had to pass the driving exams. My biggest mistake was to come to the Brinkman school. My first instructor was a friendly guy who probably can drive himself but as a teacher he is absolutely unprofessional. No useful advice except for “back mirror, side mirror, shoulder”. Didn’t explain anything about the specific things I need to know to pass the exam. During the lessons he was always talking about life and things not related to driving. So he was not focused on the driving himself and distracted my attention as well. Two lessons before my exam the school changed him to another guy who was even worse. I had a feeling I was his first student ever and he didn’t know any practical things about the exam routes, etc. So he was absolutely useless. Instead of trying to fix things I need before the exam in the last two lessons he was asking ME what do I want to do today! Overal, the school doesn’t care at all about the students, absolutely indifferent instructors and ladies at the reception, one of which can hardly explain things in English. They also don’t manage well their schedule of students, sometimes I had to drive for 30 min to pick up the next student and then sit in the car for 30 min to be dropped off! This was also a waste of time because you don’t drive on the exam roads. With this, of course I failed the exam, lost several months and a lot of money. And after that they told me that I need another 15-20 lessons! Luckily I found another school with a good teacher who was able to sign up me for the exam one month earlier than Brinkman was able to do, and prepare me well for it. Don’t waste your time and money with Brinkman!
