I had the best experience with the school and especially with my instructor Karim! Thanks to him, I passed the exam from the first try. Karim Is very knowledgeable, kind, patient and funny. He explains everything, many times if needed; and when I made mistakes, he still was focusing on learning and motivating me. He finds right words to explain complicated things, knows Amsterdam inside out, including CBR routes, and makes his best to prepare for the exam. And he wants people to succeed, so he puts effort to train what’s not working well to improve it before exam. Everything was always well with the organization of the lessons, no changes or delays. Very clear communication with Karim and school administrators. I’m very happy that I chose Van AM naar B and got lucky with Karim!

I had a horrible experience with this driving school and especially with instructor Said. I started my motorcycle lessons with him, he doesn't know how to teach students, doesn't explain lot's of things and after i asked him why you didn't explain, he said "i told you lot's of times, maybe you forgot" always he's been blaming me for all the mistakes what I've been doing. I couldn't pass AVD with him and as instructor it's his mistake not mine. "There are no people who cannot be taught, there are only bad instructors." And i don't understand to who he helped his a very incompetent instructor studying with him is just a waste of money. First 2 lessons i was driving just behind his car and others students were in fron of his car as supposed to be when you drive behind him he can't correct anything. He was always late the lessons were starting always 15, 20 minutes later sometimes even 30 minutes and nobody compensated with anything. After failing my first exam, I wanted to change instructor, but the driving school kept saying they had a second instructor, but he didn't speak English. I said, "Okay, I understand Dutch, let's change." It was a lie. Said is the only motorcycle instructor. They eventually assured me they'd talk to him and everything would be fine. They promised one private lesson with Said and one free lesson. I agreed, but that was a mistake. I should have changed driving schools. I ended up failing my second exam with him. He doesn't support students in any way, doesn't motivate them to pass the exam, and instead says he's not sure I'll pass. Ultimately, he doesn't support students and demotivates me, and I fail. One time, we stopped at a gas station, and he tried to convince me that driving a motorcycle wasn't for me. He asked me why I didn't change driving schools after the first time, and then went back to him. In the end, I failed AVD with Said the second time, and then changed driving schools, and passed there on the first try. I don't recommend Said to anyone. He's a very incompetent instructor.

I have recently obtained my driving license after training with four different driving instructors. The journey to qualification was challenging. One instructor was frequently distracted by their phone during lessons, lacked the ability to explain concepts clearly, became visibly frustrated when instructions needed clarification, and cancelled appointments at the last minute or at the scheduled time, displaying unprofessional conduct. However, since transitioning to instructor Assiyah, my experience has improved significantly. Although my time with her has been brief, I have gained a better understanding of certain aspects that I could not grasp from previous instructors. If you seek an instructor who provides clear explanations, practical tips for your exam, and demonstrates understanding of your financial considerations—acknowledging that driving lessons can be costly—I highly recommend training with Assiyah.

I'm thrilled to share that I recently passed my driving test within a couple of months. Thanks to ‘Van AM naar B’ the best driving school and specially my instructor ‘Karim’. I was absolute beginners for driving and from the start, I was impressed by their well-organized management system. My instructor ‘Karim’ went above and beyond by not only preparing me for the CBR test but also teaching me essential skills for my future driving. He emphasized safe driving habits, defensive driving techniques, and how to handle various road conditions-skills that I know will benefit me long after I pass my test. Great school! I recommend it very much, I tried a few schools in Amsterdam and I liked this one the most. Karim is a super great teacher, very friendly and patient. I recommend taking classes with him!
